• A juvenile was charged with unruliness on Melody Circle.
• Anthony King, 41, of 321 LaCrosse Road, Lot D, Americus was arrested on a probation warrant.
• Orrin Lofton Jr., 37, of 140 Lonnie Lane. No. 249, Americus is charged with open container, failure to yield at stop sign after stopping and DUI.
• Timothy L. Robinson Jr., 17, of 1406 First Montgomery St., Americus is charged with no helmet, violating operating restrictions for off-road vehicles, and no license on person.
• Alexis N. Thompson, 29, of 45-A Reddick Drive, Americus is charged with disorderly conduct  and obstruction of law enforcement officer, and was jailed.

Sumter County Fire & Rescue

• Firefighters responded to 14 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Robin Hill Drive which they learned had been activated by someone cooking.
• Firefighters responded to a grass fire on the side of the road at Ga. Highway 195 and Sam Bradley Road.
• Firefighters responded to grass fire in the back yard of a residence on Cardinal Court.
• Firefighters responded to a trash fire in the back yard of a residence on Gary Brewer Road.
• Firefighters responded to an unattended grass fire on Buttercup Lane.
• Firefighters responded to a roadside grass fire on U.S. Highway 280 East, between Leslie and DeSoto.
• Firefighters responded to a grass fire on Shaaban Subdivision Road.
• Firefighters responded to the report of a woods fire on Ga. Highway 27 East which turned out to be smoke from a grass fire the previous day.
• Firefighters responded to a utility pole on fire at Ga. Highway 308 and Wiggins Road.

Arrests
• Serina L. Bailey, 32, of 321 LaCrosse Road, Lot 5, Americus is charged with reckless conduct, discharge of firearms on or near public highway or street, and disorderly conduct, and was jailed.
• Calvin E. Banks, 47, of 104 McDaniel Road, Preston is charged with battery, and was jailed.
• Jailonn T. Bridges, 18, of 120 Hosanna Circle, Americus is charged with child molestation and statutory rape, and was jailed.
• Jamier K. Crumbley, 20, of 726 Beale St., Americus is charged with two counts of fleeing or attempting to elude police officer, too fast for conditions, reckless driving, DUI, failure to report accident, two counts of failure to maintain lane, failure to obey stop sign, felony fleeing or attempting to elude police officer, and two counts of speeding, and was jailed.
• Danielle C. Davis, 20, of Spring Hill, Fla., is charged with failure to maintain lane and failure to report accident, and was released on bond.
• Germaine L. Davis, 36, of 1168 Salter’s Mill Road, Plains is charged with misdemeanor battery (Family Violence Act), and was jailed.
• Thomas E. Dean, 38, of 1304 Elm Ave., Apt. 6, Americus is charged with violating the terms of drug court, and was jailed.
• Dillon M. Dixon, 21, of 6520 Concord Church Road, Ellaville is charged with DUI and driving in wrong side of road, and was jailed.
• Dawson C. Dowdy, 19, of Brunswick is charged with DUI, and was released on bond.
• Virginia F. Durham, 45, of 335 King Drive, Plains was arrested on a bench warrant, and was jailed.
• Nakeithia Green, 28, of 602-B Academy St., Americus is charged with misdemeanor failure to appear in court on a finger printable charge, and was jailed.
• Willie L. Hawkins, 50, of 476 Lamar Road, Americus is charged with DUI and driving while license is suspended or revoked, and was jailed.
