Kiwanis Kold Run and Walk draws 30 runners to Americus

AMERICUS – The Fifth Annual Kiwanis Kold Run and Walk, held on Feb. 11 in Americus, was an overall success, with thirty runners participating from nearly every corner of the state.
13 runners from Sumter County participated and Americus local, Henry Downes, took the top prize, finishing the race in 21:05:51.
Mitchell Sinyard, of Hawkinsville, was the overall master male winner with a time of 21:19:38.
The overall female winner was Jade Burrell, of Parrot, who completed the 5K in 23:28:94.
Sue Hite, of Ellaville, took the top honors in the female masters division with a time of 25:52:89.
The event attracted runners ranging in age from eight years old to 73 years old.
