Bill Twomey elected VP, GACMA

AMERICUS — Sumter County Administrator Bill Twomey was recently elected as vice-president of the Georgia Association of County Managers and Administrators (GACMA). Twomey was elected on
April 29 by GACMA members attending the association’s meeting held in Savannah/Chatham County in conjunction with the ACCG, Georgia’s County Association, annual conference.
He will serve a one-year term after which he may stand for election as president of GACMA.
He has served as secretary-treasurer for the past year.

GACMA represents county managers and administrators and actively works to promote professional development and continuing education opportunities.
During his tenure, Twomey will help plan and conduct two meetings for county managers and administrators.
