Area student receives doctor of pharmacy degree

From STAFF REPORTS – Elizabeth Erin Tidwell Pennington of Americus was among the 91 pharmacy students awarded the Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Georgia Campus — Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. The ceremony was held at the Infinite Energy Center on May 26.
Pennington is the daughter of Glenn and Brigitte Tidwell of Americus, Ga., sister of Tyler Tidwell of Orlando, Fla., and wife of Ryan Pennington of Lawrenville, Ga. She earned a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Georgia Southwestern State University in 2013. She will be doing a post-graduate residency at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta.
