Local man arrested for 911 calls
AMERICUS – On Halloween, 911 operators at Middle Flint Regional E-911 Authority received multiple phone calls from a male subject in Americus. During the calls, the subject used profane words directed at the 911 operators and used profanity directed at law enforcement.
After an investigation by the Americus Police Department, Bobby Lee Battle, 50, of Americus was charged with unlawful conduct during a 911 call by using obscene, vulgar or profane language to harass a 911 operator. He was jailed.
The Middle Flint Regional E-911 Authority director and operators thank the Americus Police Department for their cooperation and assistance with this situation.
