AMERICUS

Perry B. Grove Baptist Church
An ushers’ get-together is at 3 p.m. Dec. 9. with be Pastor Mathis Wright as speaker.

Antioch Baptist Church
The annual Christmas program is at 4 p.m. Dec. 9. The public is invited.

Campbell Chapel A.M.E Church
Christmas at Campbell is celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Dec. 17. Everyone is welcome.

Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church
The annual Christmas Program is at 4 p.m. Dec. 16, at 4 p.m., after which a spaghetti dinner will be served. The Christmas Program is sponsored by the AWANA Youth Ministry (Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed), Deborah Pless, coordinator, and the dinner is sponsored by the Bethesda Women’s Ministry, Robbie Latimore, Ed.D., coordinator. Special guests are Project Angel Tree families. The Omicron Alpha Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority of Americus through its Warming the Holidays service project, will present Christmas gifts of hats, gloves and scarves to all the children in attendance. Kina Davis is sorority president. The public is invited.
The church celebrates the birth of Christ with Christmas Day Worship Services at 10 a.m.  Dec. 25, with Bishop Melvin McCluster, pastor of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, Americus, delivering the sermon. The community is invited.

Bibleway Fellowship Center Inc.
Founders Day is observed at 11 a.m. Dec. 10 with the program in memory of the founder, the late pastor Eugene Cooper and in honor of the Co-Founder Missionary Delorn Cooper. Speaker is Elder Kimberly Cooper. Everyone is welcome and dinner will be served.

PLAINS

St. Mark A.M.E. Church
The annual Seniors Program is at 3 p.m. Dec. 16 with food, fun, games, and a small gift for all seniors over the age of 55.

Bethlehem Baptist Church
A Deacon Ordination Service for Jesse Durham Sr. is at 10:45 a.m. Dec. 31. Pastor O. Quintodd Bryant delivers the message.

ELLAVILLE

Jerusalem Baptist Church
Family and Friends Day is Dec. 10, beginning with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m.
