• Firefighters responded to 14 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on Crawford Street.
• Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Roseburg Road in Dooly County as requested as mutual aid.
• Firefighters responded to South Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard to a report of smoke coming from underneath the bridge. It was a locomotive engine. There were no hazards.
• Firefighters stood by during a football game at Southland Academy, 123 Southland Road.
• Firefighters responded to North Varsity Drive where an occupant complained of her stove making a popping sound. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to West Lester Street to what turned out to be a false alarm.
• Firefighters responded to Forestside Circle to a complaint of a gas odor. They discovered there was no gas service to the residence. The occupant told them her son had wasted some regular gasoline from a gas can underneath the home. They found a small amount and told the occupant there was no hazard.
• Firefighters responded to a report of smoke coming from the heating vents inside a residence on Mitchell Street. They determined the smoke and odor were due to dust or dirt on the heating element. The occupants were advised to contact the landlord.
