(Jan. 12-18)

• Firefighters responded to an alarm at the Sumter County Agricultural Center, 127 William Bowen Pointe. It was activated while testing.
• Firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm on Roney Street. Investigation found carbon monoxide in the structure. They turned off the furnace in the hallway and checked that the power light was still burning. They advised occupant to contact a repairman for the furnace.
• Firefighters responded to the Trans Waste Services, 361 McMath Mill Road, for automatic aid to Sumter County Fire & Rescue. They found a semi-truck fully involved in flames inside the structure. They had to remove part of the metal covering of the structure to get to the fire in the trailer.
