AMERICUS – For those kids who want to play baseball this Spring and Summer, the deadline for baseball registration is Friday, March 2. According to Tim Estes, Director of the Sumter County Parks and Recreation Department (SCPRD), Friday, March 2, is the final day of youth baseball registration. “It’s always hectic on the last day of registration,” Estes said.

Estes went on to say that they normally have 250 to 300 kids registering for Baseball. He also mentioned that the registration process has to be completed by 6 p.m. on Friday, March 2. Parents can register their kids on line at the Sumter County Parks and Recreation Department website: www.scprd.org, or register on site at 408 Rucker Street in Americus. The cost to register is $65. Estes made it clear that whether parents register their kids on line or on site, it has to be in by 6 p.m. Friday, March 2.
