At 5 p.m. April 22, Brink Bush, Americus native and international concert organist, will appear in concert at Calvary Episcopal Church. Seated at the organ he played in his teenage years as he was learning more and more about the instrument that would one day make him famous in the world of organ music, Bush will offer an hour of musical enchantment rarely heard in our city. The concert is open to the public at no cost. A reception honoring the artist follows.

Americus Pentecostal Church
The annual Youth Revival us at 7:30 p.m. April 26 and 27 with guest speaker Minister Cory Price of Grace and Truth Revival Center, Leslie. Theme this year is “Order My Steps in Thy Word.”

Shipp Chapel Missionary Baptist Church
Spring Revival services are from 7:30-9 p.m. May 7-11. The public is invited.

Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church
“Power Sunday” is celebrated at 10:30 a.m. April 29. All surrounding churches are invited. The Rev. Albert Campbell Sr. delivers the message.

Friendship Missionary Baptist Church
Bishop Melvin McCluster presents his Victory Recording Concert at 5 p.m. April 29. The concert is free to the public and features songs from his recently released CD, accompanied by the church’s Mass Choir. Other groups include the Sons of Gospel, the McCray Singers and more. The doors open 4 p.m.
The Women’s Ministry hosts a Women’s Prayer Breakfast at 8 a.m. May 5 in the church Fellowship Hall. Local educator, Lillie Taylor of Inspirational Church by Faith, Americus, is featured speaker. Theme is “Empowering Women By The Renewing Of Our Minds.” All women are invited. Please be sure to wear your church t-shirts (optional) or casual attire.
Annual Revival Services are at 6 p.m. May 20 and 7 p.m. May 21-23, 2018. Bishop Melvin McCluster brings the Word. Everyone is invited.
