AMERICUS — The Mayor and City Council has decided on one finalist for the position of interim city manager — Julian L. Jackson of Public Solutions LLC.
Jackson has previously served as the city manager for the City of Peachtree Corners, and the City of Monroe as well as other governmental positions during his career. He holds doctor of public administration and a master of public administration from Valdosta State University as well as a bachelor of arts in accounting from the University of West Florida.
The City Council will consider whether to appoint Jackson as Interim City Manager at a called meeting which is scheduled for 5 p.m. July 6. The meeting will be open to the public.
