Local 4-H’ers attend 4-H Day at Atlanta Braves game

ATLANTA — Some 350 4-H’ers from throughout Georgia converged in Atlanta recently at the SunTrust Park to watch the Atlanta Braves play the Washington Nationals for the annual 4-H Day at the Atlanta Braves game. Included in the group were eight Sumter County 4-H’ers and two adult leaders.
SunTrust Park is located at The Battery which features shopping, restaurants, a concert venue, offices and activities for the family. The Sumter County group enjoyed watching the Braves at the park. Georgia 4-H’ers had opportunities to participate in pre-game festivities which included the Georgia 4-H performing arts group, Clovers & Co., performing the National Anthem.
The Atlanta Braves lost the game with a score of 5 to 3 after 14 innings.
Local 4-H’ers attending were Tiffany Williams, Aniyah Eberhardt, Paris Eberhardt, Trenton Floyd, Brooklyn Killcrease, Penny Clare Thompson, Alicia Jenkins, and Aaron Jenkins.
