Cordele Main Street hosts Special Murder Mystery Train & Dinner

CORDELE — Cordele’s Downtown Main Street organization invites you to join them Saturday, Aug. 25 for a special Murder Mystery aboard the Historic SAM Shortline Railroad titled “Southern Ways and Means.”
This is an encore performance as the first production in June sold out in days. Written by Kim Fuller, this entertaining play will thrill guests aboard the vintage passenger cars before they deboard in historic downtown Cordele for a delicious meal prepared by the executive chef at Lake Blackshear Resort.
Boarding begins at 4:45 p.m. with a 5:15 p.m. departure from the SAM Shortline Station at Georgia Veterans State Park just outside of Cordele. Along the way, the mystery of “Southern Ways and Means” will begin to unfold on the train. Arriving in downtown Cordele around 6 p.m., passengers will enjoy dinner at the Cordele Historic Museum and the conclusion of the murder mystery before returning to Georgia Veterans State Park at 8:40 pm.
Coach seating is $99.99 per person and premium car seats are $149.99 per person. A cash bar will be available for all passengers and premium car passengers each receive two complimentary drinks. No alcohol will be served on the return trip. A silent auction will also take place with numerous items available.

Proceeds from the Murder Mystery Train will benefit the Cordele Railroad Museum and the Historic SAM Shortline Railroad.
