How to get help, offer help
GEMA/HS is coordinating with state, local, federal, and private sector partners to provide support throughout the areas affected by Hurricane Michael. Everyone is encouraged to avoid traveling through areas affected by the storm to give responders the space they need to ensure roads are safe. In the aftermath of the storm, neighbors helping neighbors is a crucial step in the recovery process. The best way to help after Hurricane Michael is to donate cash to trusted response organizations. Don’t self-deploy as a volunteer and don’t send or collect donations without checking with a verified nonprofit first. See our website for more information.
