Early voting continues

AMERICUS – As of 5 p.m. Thursday, four days into Early Voting, 1,156 voters had cast ballots during the Early Voting Period for the Nov. 6 election.
Sumter County Supervisor of Elections, Robert Brady, said that 858 voters have requested Absentee By Mail Ballots during this same time period.
Early Voting continues from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday every weekday, and 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Sumter County Courthouse.
Sumter County currently has a total registered voter population of 17,483 more or less. Voters must have photo ID in order to vote.
