On Nov. 11, Sumter County Intermediate School held a luncheon in observance of Veterans Day. Family members of students and staff as well as community members who are veterans were invited to enjoy a complimentary lunch from the school. A special guest was Kathy Messner’s mother who served as a nurse during during the Korean War. Shown are teacher Kathy Messner and her mother Dannelle Messner.
