AMERICUS
Perry B. Grove Baptist Church
The Ushers’ Annual Gathering is at 3 p.m. Dec. 8 with Pastor Mathis Wright as speaker.

First United Methodist Church
The Open Hand Community Christmas Dinner is to be served at noon on Dec. 25, Christmas Day in the church Fellowship Hall, 200 S. Lee St. Carry-outs available if food remains after all have been served. Shut-Ins may call 924-7072, 928-2526 or 229-417-1952.

Bethesda Baptist Church
Representatives from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) and SBA (Small Business Administration) will be present at the church, 225 Forrest St., at 6 p.m. Dec. 4. Individuals or businesses that suffered damages from Hurricane Michael are encouraged to come and receive information regarding their eligibility for different types of disaster assistance. Citizens of Americus and Sumter County and surrounding communities are invited to attend.

Bethlehem Baptist Church
The annual Usher Get-together is at 10:45 a.m. Dec. 2 during the worship service.

ELLAVILLE
Jerusalem Baptist Church
Everyone is welcome to the Friends and Family Day Celebration on Dec. 9 with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m.

LESLIE
Freedom Harvest Worship Center
Pastor Georgia Deriso’s eighth anniversary is celebrated at 3 p.m. Dec. 2 when the Right Rev. Donavon O. Coley and Forest Park Baptist Church family of Columbus are in charge of the service. The theme is “A Pastor After God’s Own Heart.” Everyone is invited. Dinner will be served.
A Fruit of the Spirit service is at 3 p.m. Dec. 30 with a youth community choir, and Minister Emmanuel Robinson, Alicia Wright, Shanekia Williams, Kelleigh Mercer, Jasmine King, Deangela Tullis, Quinton Sim, Whitney Kimbrough, and T’Keyah Swain as speakers. Everyone is invited.

PLAINS
Rylander Church
A gospel singing, featuring Dayspring of Americus, is at 7 p.m. Dec. 1.
