AMERICUS — As part of an Outreach Ministry, Calvary Episcopal Church has a new blessing box. The attractive box will provide non-perishable food and toiletries that are free to anyone needing them, and will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The box is located at 133 Brannan Ave., just behind Calvary Episcopal Church and on the grounds of the Mustard Seed, a thrift store ministry which is also operated by Calvary. The box, which is in the shape of a church, complete with a cross steeple, is painted to match the color of the Mustard Seed.
Goods are donated and anyone who would like to leave food and toiletries can drop them off. This food will be accessible to anyone who needs it.
The box has a plaque reading: “Take what you need, leave what you can”
Please consider donating any food items you may have and help support Calvary’s latest outreach efforts. Or if you are in need of any items, please stop by and help yourself.
