AMERICUS — A part of twenty40’s mission is to give back to the community. During the holiday season, members and the leadership team of twenty40 raised money to support seven families with their Thanksgiving dinner. twenty40 also had a toy drive as its Christmas Community Outreach Initiative. The ‘Toys for Joy’ toy drive was a twenty40 community initiative led by cofounder BroDrick Engram. Unwrapped toys and clothes were collected for children between the ages of one-12. Over 200 toys were collected. The collected toys were donated, respectively, to Called to Care-Sumter and the local Department of Family and Children Services (DFACS). Called to Care-Sumter is a Christian outreach organization that supports children in foster care. For the last couple of years, close friends and now twenty40 have collected toys to support families assisted by the local DFACS. With Engram’s passion and support from twenty40’s leadership team and members, the organization is extremely grateful that the Americus-Sumter County community supported the toy drive enabling many families to be blessed this holiday season.
