• Firefighters responded to 48 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to Davenport Street to a report of a possible structure fire. Upon investigation, they found a smoke odor generated by heater coils burning off dust particles.
• Firefighters responded to Perfect Care, 114 Sullivan Drive, as mutual aid with Sumter County Fire & Rescue. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on South Lee Street where a car has partially driven into a structure.
• Firefighters responded to Felder Street to a dumpster fire, which they extinguished.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Horton Drive, which had been accidentally activated by the homeowner.
• Firefighters responded to South Lee Street to a report of a possible structure fire. Occupants said they smelled burning wires, but no hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to U.S. Highway 19 South as automatic aid with Sumter County Fire & Rescue, which advised that their assistance was not needed.
• Firefighters responded to a structure fire on East Jefferson Street. The occupant told then she had heard an explosion and saw smoke and flames so she exited the house. They found a small fire in the kitchen, which they extinguished, and ventilated the structure.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on East Lamar Street.
• Firefighters responded to South Lee Street to a report of a smoking washing machine. Fire personnel disconnected the machine and contacted the emergency contact number.
• Firefighters responded to Reddick Drive to a possible structure fire. Upon arrival, they found an occupant leaving the structure holding a smoldering pot in hand. They found smoke throughout the residence and ventilated it.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on East Glessner Street.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at Thomas Drive and Felder Street but were advised by police that their assistance was not needed.
• Firefighters responded to East Furlow Street to a report of a stove fire. They extinguished it and found that a child had tried heating something on the stove unsupervised and started the fire.
• Firefighters responded to a dumpster fire on Lee Street.
• Firefighters responded to Columbia Avenue to a report of a malfuncting HVAC unit. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Hosanna Circle which turned out to be a false alarm.
