• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Woodland Avenue, which was activated by burning food.
• Firefighters responded to a report of wires down on Felder Street where they removed cable lines from the roadway.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on South Lee Street.
• Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Brannan Avenue.

• Firefighters responded to a building at 300 Martin Marietta Drive. No hazards were found. The following day, they responded again to an alarm at the same location, only to determine that it was a “dirty” smoke detector. Occupants were advised to notify the alarm company. • Firefighters responded to an alarm on Patton Drive, activated by someone burning food while cooking.
• Firefighters responded to Country Club Drive to a report of a small, unattended fire close to the apartment building. They found a small fire pit in the rear with a small log being burned. They advised the resident to extinguish the fire if he was not going to sit with it.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on South Jackson Street.
• Firefighters responded to South Hampton Street to an alarm. They found smoke in a room housing the water heater, washer and dryer. They found a power strip plugged into a 50-ft. extension cord screwed to the wall that had shorted out.
• Firefighters responded to traffic accident on Crawford Street.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on East Forsyth Street. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on First Montgomery Street. They changed batteries on a smoke detector.
