• Firefighters responded to seven calls for medical assistance
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Ridge Street. It was accidentally activated by a child; there was no fire.
• Firefighters went to Gail Street to install two smoke detectors and educate occupants on fire safety.
• Firefighters responded to Ridge Street to a report of an odor at a residence. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to Eastview Circle to extricate someone’s hand from a vehicle door. Upon arrival, Americus Police Department and EMS were on scene and their assistance was no needed.
