Americus police investigate Sunday shooting incident

AMERICUS — Americus police are investigating a shooting in a residential area on Sundya night. According to a press release, officers responded at 8:50 p.m. to Timberline Apartments on Knollwood Drive, to a report of someone being shot.
There they learned that a 31-year-old man had been shot twice in the lower torso and the suspects had fled the scene. The victim, Karri Williams, was transported by EMS to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. The report says Williams’ condition is unknown but believed not to be life threatening.
