Cahill Named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar

AMERICUS – Georgia Southwestern State University golfer Ryan Cahill has been named as a Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) for the 2018-19 school year.
The senior from Ascot, England competed in all 10 tournaments this season and earned six top 25 finishes. Cahill finished the season with a 74.10 stroke average, shooting seven rounds under par. He is currently ranked 138th in the NCAA Division II standings by Golfstat.
Cahill has now earned back-to-back GCAA All-America honors and is one of 540 student-athletes (112 in Division II) to be named an All-America Scholar.
In order to be named to the Srixon/Cleveland All-America scholar list, an individual must be a junior or senior academically at a Division I, II, III or NAIA institution. In addition, the student-athlete must participate in at least 50 percent of his team’s competitive rounds and have a stroke average of under 78.0. They must also maintain a cumulative career GPA of 3.2.
A recipient must also be an individual of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
