ELLAVILLE — The Schley County Family Connection Collaborative, with the help of several local donors and the Schley Community Foundation, donated school supplies to Schley County Elementary School for the upcoming school year.
The supplies consisted of pencils, wide-ruled notebook paper, notebooks, crayons, colored pencils, and glue sticks.
“We want to thank Mr. Reddish, principal and Mrs. DeVane, assistant principal, for continuing to keep Schley County Elementary School the ‘number one elementary school in the state of Georgia,’” said John T. Greene, Schley County Family Connection Collaborative coordinator. “We will check back with the school in January to see if more basic supplies are needed,” he added.”
If you would like to contribute monetary funds to purchase school supplies for the Schley County School System, contact the collaborative at 229-937-5334. All donations through the Schley Community Foundation are tax exempt. School supplies are purchased at the state of Georgia Government price rate through Staples, Wal-Mart, and Classroom Direct.
