Sumter Historic Trust to host porch tour
AMERICUS — Sumter Historic Trust will host a self-guided porch tour from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3. The tour, open to the public, starts at 501 S. Lee St., home of Charles and Kim Christmas, and proceeds to four other historic homes on West College Street and Hancock Drive.
These include the porches at the homes of Tom and Diane Harrison, 302 W. College St.; Justin and Rachel Arnold, 202 W College St.; Ashley and Shane Foote, 305 W. College St., and Nick Owens and James Edgemon, 517 Hancock Drive.
Tickets are $25 prior to the event and $30 the day of the tour. Tickets are available at The Look Salon, 117 N. Jackson St., or from any Trust board member, or the day of at 501 S. Lee St.
Proceeds benefit the Sumter Historic Trust preservation projects in the community.
