Lady Wildcats’ winning streak improves to two with win over Taylor County

ELLAVILLE, GA – The Schley County Lady Wildcat basketball team (SCHS) earned their second straight victory by defeating Taylor County 35-26 in a low-scoring affair on Tuesday, January 14, at Schley County High School.
With the win, the Lady Wildcats improve to 7-6 overall and are now 5-5 in the Region 4-A standings.
Amiyah Walker led SCHS in scoring with 12 points and Dasani Minter scored seven. Niyah Kelley also chipped in five points in the winning cause. SCHS has now swept the regular season series between the two teams. In their first meeting back on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, the Lady Wildcats won by the score of 41-29.
The Lady Wildcats will try to continue their winning ways when they host Central (Talbotton) on Friday, January 17. The Lady Hawks come into this matchup with an overall record of 14-1 and are in first place in the Region 4-A standings (8-1). Tip off for this game is scheduled for 6 p.m.
