Furlow Falcons and Lady Falcons turn in high marks at L.C. Smith & Winfred Benson Relays

ALBANY – The Furlow Charter boys and girls track and field teams turned in solid results at the L.C. Smith & Winfred Benson Relays in Albany this past Saturday.
In girls’ action, senior Maria Kilheffer finished in third place in the girls’ 3200-Meter run with a new personal record (PR) of 13:13 and she finished in eighth place in the 1600-Meter event in a time of 6:24. Sophomore Karen Perez turned in a new PR in the girls’ 3200-Meter event, as she finished in a time of 14:49. Perez also turned in a PR of 6:57 in the girls; 1600-Meter event.
Freshman Ashley Narvaez finished with a new PR of 15:20 in the girls’ 3200-Meter event and she turned in a new PR of 7:26 in the girls’ 1600-Meter event.
In the girls’ 800-Meter event, junior Brandi Ardon set a new PR for herself, as she finished the event in a time of 3:40.
In boys’ action, junior Dennis Gonzalez finished in ninth place in the boys’ 3200-Meter Run, setting a new PR for himself with a time of 10:48. His brother, sophomore Ibis Gonzalez, finished the event in 10th place with a new PR of 10:56.
In the boys’ 1600-Meter event, Ibis Gonzalez set a new school record, finishing in ninth place in a time of 4:57. Dennis Gonzalez finished right behind him in 10th place with a new PR of 4:58.
In the boys’ 800-Meter event, Haydn Wright set a new school record, finishing in 10th place in a time of 2:16. Sophomore Ian Biedermann finished the event with a new PR of 2:19 and senior Cole Bartholome set a new PR of 2:53.
