GSW Baseball Team earns highest ranking in program history

AMERICUS – The Georgia Southwestern State University baseball team earned its highest ranking in a national poll in program history when reaching No. 15 in the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) NCAA Division II coaches poll. The Hurricanes moved up from No. 21 two weeks ago.

GSW’s highest ranking this season between the coaches and media polls was No. 16 back on Feb. 28 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll.

The Hurricanes are currently 25-9 overall and 9-6 in the Peach Belt Conference. They will host the University of West Georgia on Tuesday at 6 p.m. before traveling to St. Augustine, FL this coming weekend for a three-game series against Flagler College.
