Dawgnation.com is reporting that Schley County linebacker Zayden Walker verbally committed to Georgia on Wednesday, June 5.

According to information from an article written by Connor Riley of dawgnation.com, Walker is the No. 1 linebacker prospect in the 2025 recruiting cycle and has become the highest-rated defensive commit in the class and the first linebacker commit. The Schley County standout is rated the No. 24 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting cycle.

With one more year to go as a Wildcat, Walker has already more than made his mark. During the 2023 season, he made a total of 40 tackles with 16.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks and 27 hurries.

Walker also got the job done on the offensive side of the ball for the Wildcats. As a running back, he rushed for 518 yards on 77 carries and scored 13 rushing touchdowns in 2023.

Walker was recruited by just about every major college program in the country, but has decided to verbally commit to the Bulldogs. He will make it official during the early signing period in December, when he signs on the dotted line.

Walker is the brother of former Schley County and current Auburn junior defensive lineman Zykevious Walker and is the brother of former Schley County wide receiver /defensive back JaLewis Solomon, who will be a freshman defensive back at South Carolina in the fall.
