AMERICUS — The American Legion Post 558, Americus Veterans Day Parade Committee has finalized its 5th annual Veterans Day events for Friday. A program will be held at 10 a.m. in front of the Sumter County Courthouse and veterans as well as the public are encouraged to attend.
The Veterans Day Parade will follow at 11 a.m. downtown. A special luncheon for invitees follows the parade.
With the support of the community, each year of the event has been memorable. On this special day, the military service men and women are honored.
