King service is Monday

AMERICUS — The late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s life and legacy will be commemorated on Monday, Jan. 21, which is a state and national holiday.
A program starts at 10 a.m. in front of the Sumter County Courthouse in which Darrell Sabbs Jr. will be keynote speaker. Following the program, citizens are invited to march to Friendship Missionary Baptist Church on Cotton Avenue for a service that begins at 11 a.m. Keynote speaker is Dwight Harris, and there will be special music.
The public is invited to these events.
