Americus
Williams Road Church of Christ
The community is invited to get to know the church community at Open House beginning at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the church campus, 110 Williams Road.  Participants can visit 17 displays featuring various parts of church life – everything from men’s outdoor activities to Secret Sisters to financial training, and much more. There is a three-minute video showing what that hour on Sunday is all about, but even that will be fun. It’s a casual event. Dinner is included, along with drawings for door prizes. New Shady Grove Baptist Church
The public is invited to a musician celebration at 3 p.m. Sept. 27. All choirs, groups, soloists and praise teams are invited.
The mission anniversary is celebrated during the 11 a.m. worship service Sept. 27. All area churches are invited; missionaries an wear white it they like. Sister Elizabeth Holloway brings the occasion.

Friendship Missionary Baptist Church
The 120th church anniversary celebration is at 7 p.m. Sept. 22-24. On Tuesday, the Rev. DeReinzia Johnson and Bethesda Baptist Church are in charge of the service; Wednesday, the Rev. David Towns and Welcome Home Full Gospel and Rocky Mountain Baptist churches; and Thursday, the Rev. Ronald Wilson and New Hope Baptist Church. At 5 p.m. Sept. 26, the church’s Mass Choir has its annual concert. The anniversary celebration culminates at 10 a.m. Sept. d 27, with Bishop Melvin McCluster bringing the message. Dinner will be served.

Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church
A Senior Citizen Breakfast is at 9 a.m. today, Sept. 19.
The church’s 113th anniversary is observed at 11 a.m. Sunday with Dr. Chiquita Fye, Bethel A.M.E. Church physician at the Georgia Correctional Institute as speaker.

New St. Paul Baptist Church
The choir’s 43rd anniversary is celebrated at 4 p.m. Sept. 27. All choirs are asked to come and render two selections.

Perry B. Grove Baptist Church
At 11 a.m. Sunday, homecoming and the church’s 86th anniversary are observed. Jerusalem Schley, Oak Grove Schley, Mount Salem and New Union Grove are especially invited. Dinner will be served.

Antioch Baptist Church
Sunday school is at 9:45 a.m. Sunday, followed by worship at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Greg Porter and Mount Zion of Buena Vista in charge.
At 2 p.m. the church’s 137th anniversary is celebrated with the Rev. Daniel Simmons and Mount Zion Baptist Church of Albany in charge. Dinner will be served. The public is invited.

Mount Olive Baptist Church
The annual Women’s Conference, Christian Women Rooted and Built Up in Christ for the Kingdom of God, starts at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 19 with Sister Yvonne Iverson of Shipp Chapel Baptist Church, Americus as speaker.
The Women’s Day program, Christian Women Rooted and Built Up in Christ Jesus Abounding in Thanksgiving, is at 11 a.m. Sunday with Sister Annie Joiner of Antioch Baptist Church, Cuthbert as speaker.
Registration for the conference is $5 and attire is white and purple. All Christian friends are invited.
