Magnolia Manor VP of clinical ops recognized with state award

AMERICUS —  Magnolia Manor has announced that Barbara Mitchell was awarded the GHCA/GCAL Leadership in Public Confidence Award, one of the highest-level awards achievable through GHCA. Mitchell accepted the award at the 2017 GHCA/GCAL Winter Convention and Trade Show, Jan. 17-20 at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel in Atlanta.
“Barbara Mitchell is the heartbeat of Magnolia Manor,” said Senior Vice President for Operations at Magnolia Manor, Hill Fort. “Through her dedication and extensive experience, she has led us on a journey from ‘good to great.’ We are excited that Barbara was recognized as a Leader in Long Term Care. Barbara has been a dedicated ambassador for the industry both as a professional nurse and administrator, and also as a representative and board member of the Georgia Health Care Association.”
Mitchell was recognized as a leader by building relationships in organizations and community outlets, providing information to policy makers, and organizing others to act in the best interest of long term care. The Nominating Committee for the GHCA/GCAL Leadership Excellence Awards conducts rigorous evaluation in areas of commitment to leadership excellence, and building relationships and trust with the public and the community for long term care.
